From Ancient Greek Ὄλυμπος (Ólumpos). Possibly from Ancient Greek οὐ (ou, “not”) + Ancient Greek λῦμα (lûma, “filth”) + Ancient Greek πούς (poús, “foot”), thus "undefiled footstool" (of the gods).
