императрица
Russian
Etymology
Originally borrowed from Latin imperātrīx via its oblique stem (compare the ablative singular imperātrīce), but the resulting form may also be interpreted as an in-house Russian Slavic derivation from император (imperator) with the suffix -ица (-ica).
