Old Armenian
Etymology
A Georgian-Zan borrowing, ultimately from Proto-Kartvelian *c̣ux-, whence Georgian წუხვა (c̣uxva, “sadness, sorrow”), Old Georgian წუხილი (c̣uxili, “anxiety, grief, sadness”), მწუხრი (mc̣uxri, “dusk”); for the sense development compare Persian دود (dud, “smoke; sadness, anguish”).[1]
