اِغْتَمَّ • (iḡtamma) VIII, non-past يَغْتَمُّ‎‎ (yaḡtammu)

  1. to be affected by grief, to be sad
    • ‏حَتَّى تَصَدَّعُوا كُلُّهُمْ عَنْهَا، فَخَرَجَ مِنْهُمْ مَنْ خَرَجَ، وَبَقِيَ نَفَرٌ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ قَالَ وَجَعَلْتُ أَغْتَمُّ،‎‎
      ḥattā taṣaddaʕū kulluhum ʕanhā, faḵaraja minhum man ḵaraja, wabaqiya nafarun yataḥaddaṯūna qāla wajaʕaltu ʔaḡtammu,
      When all of them had finished their meals some of them left and a bunch remained talking which made me dolorous.
  2. to become tall, to become luxuriant, to be copiose
