بَرِيء • (barīʔ) (feminine بَرِيئَة‎ (barīʔa), masculine plural بَرِيئُون‎ (barīʔūn) or أَبْرِيَاء‎ (ʔabriyāʔ) or بُرَآء‎ (buraʔāʔ) or بُرَاء‎ (burāʔ) or بِرَاء‎ (birāʔ), feminine plural بَرِيئَات‎ (barīʔāt), elative أَبْرَأ‎ (ʔabraʔ))

  1. pure, guiltless, innocent

      ‏وَمَن يَكْسِبْ خَطِيئَةً أَوْ إِثْمًا ثُمَّ يَرْمِ بِهِ بَرِيئًا فَقَدِ ٱحْتَمَلَ بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُّبِينًا‎
      waman yaksib ḵaṭīʔatan ʔaw ʔiṯman ṯumma yarmi bihi barīʔan faqadi ḥtamala buhtānan waʔiṯman mmubīnan
      But whoever earns an offense or a sin and then blames it on an innocent [person] has taken upon himself a slander and manifest sin.
