From the root ط ر و‎ (ṭ-r-w) or ط ر ي‎ (ṭ-r-y); compare طَرُوَ‎ (ṭaruwa, “to be or become fresh, moist, tender”) and طَرِيَ‎ (ṭariya, “(same)”).
