كِفَات • (kifāt) m

1. place of aggregation, stead where things are drawn towards
   • 609–632 CE, Qur'an, 77:25-26:

     ‏أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا؟‎‎

     ʾa-lam najʿali l-ʾarḍa kifātan ʾaḥyāʾan wa-ʾamwātan?

     Have we not made the earth a place living and dead come together?
