Cognate with Assamese জুলা (zula), Bengali ঝোলা (jhōla), Gujarati ઝૂલવું (jhūlvũ), Hindustani جُھولْنَا / झूलना (jhūlnā), Sindhi جهوُلَڻُ / झूलणु, Punjabi ਝੁੱਲਣਾ (jhullaṇā) / جھُلّݨا (jhullṇā), Maithili झुलब (jhulab) / 𑒗𑒳𑒪𑒥 (jhulaba), Nepali झुल्नु (jhulnu), Oriya ଝୁଲିବା (jhuliba).
