1. judge: public officer appointed to decide cases in a court of law.

• In the modern judicial system of Thailand, the present term refers to the judicial officers of any other courts than the courts of justice. The judicial officers of the courts of justice are referred to as ผู้พิพากษา (pûu-pí-pâak-sǎa).
• A person deciding the results of a competition is called กรรมการ (gam-má-gaan) or ผู้ตัดสิน.
