    • 1916, 芥川龍之介, 芋粥:
      五(ご)位(い)は赤(あか)くなつて、吃(ども)りながら、又(また)、前(まえ)の答(こたえ)を繰(くり)返(かえ)した。
      Goi wa akaku natsute, domori-nagara, mata, mae no kotae o kurikaeshita.
      Goi's face turned red, and stammering, he repeated his previous answer.
