- “(male) pervert”
- Wasei kango (和製漢語), orthographically borrowed from Japanese 紳士 (shinshi), which was in turn a semantic readaptation of Chinese 紳士/绅士 (shēnshì, “gentleman”). Popularized through Gag Manga Biyori.
