Proto-Finnic
Etymology
Unknown. Possibly related to Erzya [script needed] (šukštorov), [script needed] (čukštorov) and Moksha [script needed] (šukštoru). These cognates cannot be regularly traced back to a common protoform and may be borrowed from a substrate language.
