Perhaps related to Mongolian ᠨᠢᠭᠦᠷᠰᠦ (nigürsü, “sappanwood, alder”) or Urmi Evenki лакамавун (lakamawun, “elm”), Manchu ᠯᠠᡥᠠᡵᡳ (lahari, “a kind of oak”), ᠯᠠᡥᠠ (laha, “straw mixed with clay to form a building material”).
