Prefix

qeyri-

  1. Used with certain words to reverse their meaning
    ‎mümkün (“possible”) + ‎qeyri- → ‎qeyri-mümkün (“impossible”)
    ‎iş günləri (“working days”) + ‎qeyri- → ‎qeyri-iş günləri (“non-working days”)

Usage notes
  • qeyri- is separated from the word whose meaning it reverses by a hyphen. However, no hyphen is used for qeyri in when it is used as the determiner other.
  • qeyri- can be stressed.
