From Ottoman Turkish سرینلتمك‎ (serinletmek, “to make become cool or cold”)[1], from Ottoman Turkish سرین‎ (serin, “cool, cold, chilly”), from Proto-Mongolic *serixün (“cool, fresh”)[2][3], morphologically serin +‎ -le +‎ -t (“causative suffix”) +‎ -(i)ci (“occupation, inclination suffix with "i" as epenthesis vowel”).
