skyffla (present skyfflar, preterite skyfflade, supine skyfflat, imperative skyffla)

1. to shovel (move (something) with a shovel or similar tool)

   att skyffla gödsel ― to shovel manure

2. (often with a particle like in (“in”) or undan (“away”)) to shove (e.g. food into one's mouth), to push (away, e.g. to clear a floor)

   Han skyfflade in mat i munnen

   He cleared the toys from the floor with his foot

3. (figuratively) to move (something more or less abstract)

   Han försökte skyffla över ansvaret på andra

   He tried to shuffle off ("shovel") the responsibility onto others
