Etymology

From Ottoman Turkish تحشیدات‎ (tahşidat), Arabic plural of تحشید‎ (tahşid), from Arabic تَحْشِيد‎ (taḥšīd), verbal noun of حَشَدَ‎ (ḥašada, “to gather, concentrate, mobilize”). Formally, the Arabic plural of obsolete tahşid, tahşit.
