Etymology
Presumably from Proto-Albanian *tsikā, possibly from Proto-Indo-European *ḱeh₃- (“to sharpen”), compare Armenian սուր (sur, “sharp; knife”).[1] Alternatively borrowed from Latin sīca (“a poniard, curved dagger”).[2]
