Diamonds Are Forever, So Are Morals
Diamonds Are Forever, So Are Morals is an autobiography of Govind Dholakia, a Gujarat-based entrepreneur. The book is written by an engineer-scientist Arun Tiwari and educationalist Kamlesh Yagnik. Penguin Random House India released the book on 24 March 2022.[1][2]

The book was also released in Gujarati, 'ડાયમંડ્સ આર ફોરએવર, સો આર મોરલ્સ' at Rajbhawan, Gandhinagar in the presence of Shri Acharya Devvrat, Governor, Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister, Gujarat, Renowned Saint Shri Rameshbhai Oza and in the presence of dignitaries including Shri Vijay Rupani, former Chief Minister, Gujarat, Shri Pravin Laheri, former Chief Secretary, Gujarat, several ministers, IAS & IPS officers and scholars from literary circles and others on 9 October 2023.
Events
The book has had several launch and reading events.
On 30 April 2023 in an event, 'Afternoons with an Author', Govind Dholakia was interviewed by Lipika Bhushan and Dr Sanjeev Chopra at Dehradun book festival, 'Valley of Words'.[3] On 13 Jan 2023 during the 5th Bhopal Literature and Art Festival, Govind Dholakia shared his views on his life-journey with Pratap Verma and Prof Ramesh Shivgunde.[4]
Reception
The Hindu Business Line wrote in a review "The life story of diamond baron, Govindbhai Dholakia, 73, gives an inspiring insight about a common man’s triumph in realising the dreams."[5]
The Asian Age wrote in a review "After reading the biography, one is left marvelling at the obvious wisdom of this singularly successful individual, who spawned a sprawling enterprise and an equally large extended family comprising about 1,500 members.[6]
The Outlook India wrote in a review "The autobiography treads a fine balance between Dholakia’s spiritual self and his work karma and will certainly intrigue some young get rich quick entrepreneurs to flip through it."[7]
The book was endorsed by Indian prime minister Narendra Modi, who praised the "nuggets of inspiring information" in the text, saying that he felt it would be "source of inspiration" for future generations.[8]
