Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill
The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill is a government bill laid before the Parliament of the United Kingdom.[1] It is intended to amend the Competition Act 1998 and the Enterprise Act 2002.[1]
A government press release described it as a bill to "stamp out unfair practices and promote competition in digital markets".[2]
If enacted, it would be the British counterpart to the European Union's Digital Markets Act. As of September 2023 it is undergoing scrutiny by the House of Commons.[1]
