List of lightest mirrorless cameras

This is a list of the lightest and smallest mirrorless digital cameras ever released with an interchangeable lens mount, excluding smartphones and action cameras, sorted by weight including battery and memory card.

Most of the listed models have been discontinued, as smartphone cameras have rapidly improved and taken over their market. Some high-end smartphones now exceed several of these models in weight, sensor size, and functionality. (For example, an iPhone 15 Pro Max weighs 221g, and a Galaxy S23 Ultra weighs 234g.)

Current mirrorless cameras continue to add advanced hardware features such as 4K video recording and in-body image stabilization (IBIS) that necessarily make them heavier and larger, which disqualify them by definition from this list. For example, the lightest mirrorless cameras in production today are the Olympus E-P7 at 337g and Sony ZV-E10 at 343g. The lightest models in production with an electronic viewfinder (EVF) are the Panasonic G100 at 345g and Canon R100 at 356g.

The black version of the Leica M11 is technically mirrorless and almost as small and light at 530g,[34] but the M11 and other rangefinder cameras are usually not considered mirrorless cameras, because they do not have autofocus and instead rely on a different manual focusing method.

Lens-style cameras

Lens-style cameras are lighter than all other interchangeable lens cameras with their respective sensor sizes, but they are usually not classified with other mirrorless cameras because they have no screen or viewfinder.

They are designed to be attached to a smartphone so that the phone’s screen can be used as the camera’s display.[35]

Industrial cameras

Sony introduced a mirrorless camera designed for industrial applications that has no screen or viewfinder and no internal battery. It is lighter than all other full-frame interchangeable lens cameras, and as with other modular cameras it is designed to be attached to other hardware, e.g. a drone.
