History
The Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) was created in 2002 by the government of Punjab, Pakistan. It was set up to provide citizens with a secure, reliable and accurate land record system. The PLRA was created to address the growing need for accurate and up-to-date land ownership records in the province. The PLRA maintains a database of land records, including ownership records, boundary lines, and other important information. It also provides a range of services, such as online land registration, land transfer, and dispute resolution. The PLRA is committed to providing a transparent, efficient, and secure land record system and has developed a number of initiatives over the years to ensure that all stakeholders have access to accurate land records.
Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement
The Government of Punjab has taken a major initiative to improve the urban land records in the province with the introduction of the Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (PULSE). This system is designed to increase the efficiency and transparency of the land record system in Punjab, and to provide accurate and reliable land records to citizens and stakeholders.
PULSE will provide an electronic platform that allows citizens to access and update their land records quickly and conveniently. This will help to reduce the time and cost associated with land transactions, making it easier for citizens to access and use land records. Additionally, PULSE will provide an online portal that allows citizens and stakeholders to interact with the land record system in an efficient and secure manner.[2]
