From Proto-Turkic *oyna- (“to play”)[1].

Cognate with Old Uyghur [script needed] (ojna-, “to play”); Uyghur ئوينىماق‎ (oynimaq, “to play”), Turkish oynamak (“to play”), Tuvan ойнаар (oynaar, “to play”), Yakut оонньоо (oonnyoo, “to play”), etc.
