Adapted by the Hellenizing School from ընդ (ənd) + -ա- (-a-).[1] The spelling ընթա- (əntʿa-) reflects an intermediate form.[1]
Usage notes
Used post-classically to calque Ancient Greek words prefixed with ὑπο- (hupo-), e.g.
