   մեկին թամբը դնել՝ քշել ― mekin tʿambə dnel, kʿšel ― to be in the saddle (to be in control of someone)

   թամբը զարկել ― tʿambə zarkel ― to saddle (to put a saddle on)

   թամբից բուսնել ― tʿambicʿ busnel ― to sit tall in the saddle

2. packsaddle
3. saddle (of a bicycle or motorcycle)
4. (figuratively) saddle (low point, in the shape of a saddle, between two peaks of a mountain)

Since Lidén usually considered inherited from Proto-Indo-European *tm̥peh₂, from the root *temp- (“to extend, stretch, span”), and cognate with Lithuanian ti̇̀mpa (“sinew”), Old Norse þǫmb (“paunch; bowstring”), but Ačaṙean rejects this and leaves the origin open.
