Etymology
From Middle Persian [script needed] (plcʾnk' /frazānag/, “wise, intelligent”), which is cognate with Parthian 𐫜𐫡𐫉𐫀𐫗𐫃 (frzʾng /frazānag/, “wise, clever”). Equivalent to فرزان (farzân) + ـه (e).
