From Middle Persian [script needed] (plcʾnk' /frazānag/, wise, intelligent), which is cognate with Parthian 𐫜𐫡𐫉𐫀𐫗𐫃 (frzʾng /frazānag/, wise, clever). Equivalent to فرزان (farzân) + ـه (e).
