Usage notes

Unlike the English term Holland, which is sometimes used to refer to the whole country of the Netherlands, the Japanese term ホラント (Horanto) is used to refer only to the province of Holland within the Netherlands. To refer to the country, the term オランダ (Oranda) is used instead.
