Etymology

Modification of -orama, influenced by diorama and panorama, and thus derived from Ancient Greek ὅρᾱμᾰ (hórāma, sight, spectacle), which in turn evolved from the Proto-Indo-European *wer- (to perceive, look out for).

  1. Alteration of -orama, used in suffixing a word ending with an r or vowel sound.
