акырын
Southern Altai
Etymology
From *aqïrïn "slowly, quietly, cautiously", from a verbal stem *aqïr-/aqur- "to move (act) slowly, cautiously", as evidenced in Old Uyghur [script needed] (aquru, “quietly; cautiously”); Yakut аҕырыа (ağırıa, “to be moderate”).
Cognate with Old Uyghur [script needed] (aqrun, “quitely”); Kazakh ақырын (aqyryn, “slowly, quietly”), Kyrgyz акырын (akırın, “slowly, quietly”), Uzbek aqirin (“slowly”), Khakas ағрин (ağrin, “slowly, quietly, gradually”), etc.
