From Proto-Mansi *tü̆kəs (hence Northern (Obsk.) teksi, Eastern (Jukonda) тяхсы ‘autumn’, Western (Pelym) Тэ́ксъ ‘autumn’, Southern (Tavda) tüks)[1], from Proto-Finno-Ugric *sükśe (autumn)[2], compare Hungarian ősz.
