  1. a negative particle appended to the verb to form the negative conjugation of all moods, except the imperative mood
    չ- (čʿ-) + սիրել (sirel, to like)չսիրել (čʿsirel, not to like)
    չ- (čʿ-) + գրեցի (grecʿi, I wrote)չգրեցի (čʿgrecʿi, I did not write)
  2. A negative prefix, appended to some verb roots
    չ- (čʿ-) + բերել (berel, to bring)չբեր (čʿber, non-bringing, barren)

Usage notes

As a negative prefix (sense 2) this is not productive anymore.
