- To create (when act of a deity).
- Genesis 1:27, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:
- וַיִּבְרָא אֱלֹהִים אֶת־הָאָדָם בְּצַלְמוֹ בְּצֶלֶם אֱלֹהִים בָּרָא אֹתוֹ זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה בָּרָא אֹתָם׃
- Va-yivrá Elohím et ha-adám b-tsalmó, b-tsélem Elohím bará otóm, zakhár u-n'qevá bará otám.
- And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.
