     ‏אֵין מְרַסְּקִין לֹא אֶת הַשַּׁחַת, וְלֹא אֶת הֶחָרוּבִין לִפְנֵי בְהֵמָה, בֵּין דַּקָּה בֵּין גַּסָּה. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה מַתִּיר בֶּחָרוּבִין בַּדַּקָּה׃‎‎

     [We] do not chop up hay or carobs for livestock, whether small or large; Rabbi Judah permits [this] for carobs for small [livestock].

     ‏מַרְחִיקִין אֶת הָאִילָן מִן הָעִיר עֶשְׂרִים וְחָמֵשׁ אַמָּה, הֶחָרוּב וְהַשִׁקְמָה חֲמִשִּׁים אַמָּה. אַבָּא שָׁאוּל אוֹמֵר, כָּל אִילַן סְרָק, חֲמִשִּׁים אַמָּה.‎‎

     [We] distance trees from the city twenty-five cubits, the carob and the sycamore fifty cubits; Abba Shaul says, “Any non-fruit-bearing tree fifty cubits.”
