מֶחֱצָה • (mekhetsá) f (singular construct מֶחֱצַת־‎)

   • a. 217 C.E., Mishnah, Bava Batra 1:1:

     ‏בְּגָוִיל זֶה נוֹתֵן שְׁלֹשָׁה טְפָחִים וְזֶה נוֹתֵן שְׁלֹשָׁה טְפָחִים בְּגָזִית זֶה נוֹתֵן טִפְחַיִם וּמֶחֱצָה וְזֶה נוֹתֵן טִפְחַיִם וּמֶחֱצָה‎‎

     With rough stone, one gives three handbreadths and one gives three handbreadths; with smooth stone, one gives two handbreadths and a half and one gives two handbreadths and a half.
