أح • (ʾaḥ)

1. it is there

• أح cannot stand on its own. It is only used with third-person pronouns attached to it, not enclitic pronouns. The هـ (h) that begins the attached pronouns is assimilated into the preceding ح (ḥ).
  • أحهو‎ (ʾaḥuwwe, “there it is”) masc.
  • أحهي‎ (ʾaḥiyye, “there it is”) fem.
  • أحهن‎ (ʾaḥinne, “there they are”)

1. ما عم بلاقي الورود. شفتيهن شي؟ (mā ʿam blēʾe l-wrūd. šiftiyon ši?)

   I can't find the flowers. Have you seen them?

   .أحهن هونيك (ʾaḥinne hōnīke)

   They are there.
