Relative adjective (nisba) composed of أُرْدَمَان‎ (ʔurdamān) +‎ ـِيّ‎ (-iyy), from Latin Lordmanni (by way of re-bracketing the lateral as the definite article al-), variant of Nordmanni, ultimately from Old Norse norðmaðr.

     ‏وَٱحْتَلَّ بِسَاحِلٍ مِنْ سَوَاحِلِ ثُغُورِنَا مَرَاكِبُ لِقَوْمٍ مِنَ ٱلْمَجُوسِ، يُقَالُ لَهُمُ الْأُرْدَمَانِيُّونَ. أَقْبَلُوا مِنْ بَلَدِهِمْ فِي ٱلْبَحْرِ إِلَى أَرْضِ إِفْرَنْجَةٍ، وَخَرَجُوا عَلَى سَاحِلِهِمْ، فَقَتَلُوا رِجَالَهُمْ، وَأَصَابُوا ذَرَارِيهِمْ، وَغَنَمُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ، وَأَقَامُوا بِبَلَدِهِمْ يَعِيثُونَ فِيهِمْ، وَيَقْتُلُونَ مَنْ ظَفَرُوا بِهِ مِنْهُمْ.‎‎

     waḥtalla bisāḥilin min sawāḥili ṯuḡūrinā marākibu liqawmin mina l-majūsi, yuqālu lahumu al-ʔurdamāniyyūna. ʔaqbalū min baladihim fī l-baḥri ʔilā ʔarḍi ʔifranjatin, waḵarajū ʕalā sāḥilihim, faqatalū rijālahum, waʔaṣābū ḏarārīhim, waḡanamū ʔamwālahum, waʔaqāmū bibaladihim yaʕīṯūna fīhim, wayaqtulūna man ẓafarū bihi minhum.

     And then there took over, somewhere along our shores, the longships of a people of Mazdeans, who are called the ʾUrdamāniyyūn. They had traveled over from their homeland by sea to the land of the Franks: they filed out on their shoreland, slew their men, seized their children, looted their wealth, and thereafter lingered around in their country marauding in it and slaying whomever they could catch from among them.

     His swords, to faithless men, excisory.”
