Cognate with Parthian 𐫀𐫡𐫋𐫀𐫗 (ʾrjʾn /aržān/, worthy), Talysh ارژون (erjon), Northern Kurdish erzan and the following Iranian borrowings: Old Armenian արժան (aržan, worthy; cheap), Classical Syriac ܐܪܙܢ (ʾarzān, cheap).
