اِسَّمَّعَ • (issammaʿa) V, non-past يَسَّمَّعُ‎‎ (yassammaʿu)

   • 609–632 CE, Qur'an, 37:8:

     ‏لَا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ‎

     lā yassammaʿūna ʾilā l-malaʾi l-ʾaʿlā wa-yuqḏafūna min kulli jānibin

     So they may not listen to the exalted assembly and are pelted from every side
