From Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (tlsʾk' /tarsāg/, “Christian”, literally “(God) fearer”), from [Book Pahlavi needed] (tls- /tars-/, “to fear, be afraid”) +‎ [Book Pahlavi needed] (-k' /-ag/).
