The plural عواميد‎ (ʕawāmīd) is not attested in Modern Standard Arabic but it's based on the patter "fāʿūl" (as in ماعون‎ (māʕūn) > مواعين‎ (mawāʕīn)) since Hijazi lengthened the first vowel, compare خاروف‎ (ḵārūf).
