کَرامَت • (karâmat) (plural کَرامات‎ (karâmât))

1. dignity
2. wonder, miraculous act (especially when associated with an Islamic saint or holy man)
   • 1723—1724, Kishan Chand Ikhlās, quoting Dayal Das Parasruri, همیشه بهار [Hamiše Bahâr]:

     ‏ببین کرامت بتخانه مرا ای شیخ، که چون خراب شود خانه خدا گردد‎

     be-bin karâmat-e bot-xâne-ye ma-râ ey šeyx, ke čon xarâb šavad xâne-ye xodâ gardad

     Behold the miracle of my temple, o Shaykh! [Even] when it is destroyed [by being converted into a mosque], it becomes a house of God.
