Cognate with Gujarati બકવું (bakvũ), Hindustani بَکْنَا / बकना (baknā), Sindhi بَڪَڻُ / बकणु, Punjabi ਬਕਣਾ (bakṇā) / بَکݨا (bakṇā), Nepali बक्नु (baknu), Maithili बकब (bakab) / 𑒥𑒏𑒥 (bakaba), Oriya ବକିବା (bôkiba), Bengali বকা (boka), Assamese বকা (boka).
