Borrowed from Classical Persian ‎ (khoś), which is from Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (xwš /xwaš/, “pleasant, sweet, nice”). Cognate with Baluchi ‎ and Turkish hoş. Doublet of খুশি (khuśi) and খুশবু (khuśbu).
