• ცრუვი (cruvi)

According to Andronikashvili, an Iranian borrowing from the family of Old Armenian զուր (zur), the ცრ- (cr-) having developed from earlier *ძრ- (*ʒr-). The connection with the Armenian was suggested already by Marr. See also Old Georgian ძჳრი (ʒwiri).
