A hypothetical correction of the attested ϯⲕⲉϣⲣⲱⲙⲓ (tikešrōmi) which is ϯ (ti, feminine definite article) + ⲕⲱϣ (kōš, “break”, verb) + ⲣⲱⲙⲓ (rōmi, “man”, noun), lit. "the men breaker". Calque of Arabic القَاهِرَة (al-qāhira, “The Victorious”).
