  • This identity is rejected by many in Hong Kong and Taiwan, who identify exclusively as 香港人 (Xiānggǎngrén) and 臺灣人台湾人 (táiwānrén) respectively. Hongkongers often refer to mainland Chinese people as 支那狗 or 蝗蟲蝗虫 (huángchóng) instead.
