[proper noun] (Japanese mythology) daughter of 伊弉諾 (Izanagi), the food goddess who offered food to either 素戔嗚 (Susa no O) or 月読 (Tsukuyomi) by vomiting and defecating, which caused either of said gods to kill her in disgust, which caused foodstuff to sprout out of her corpse
