Literally "having the mind of someone allegiant"[1], from Old Iranian *haxā- (“he who is bound by allegiance, someone allegiant”) + *mani- (“mind, mentality”), from Proto-Indo-European *sekʷ- (“to follow”) and *men- (“to think”).
