𐰉𐱃𐰆𐰺
Old Turkic
Etymology
Akin to Middle Mongolian ᠪᠠᠭᠠᠲᠦᠷ (baɣatür, “Baghatur”) and Persian بهادر, Turkish bahadır. Most Turkic disyllabic cognates such as Kazakh батыр (batır) are probably borrowings/descendants from Old Turkic.
