Clipping of maximize, with a superfluous x presumably to mimic Internet slang. Compare doxx, etc.

  1. (incel slang) Denoting an enhancement or improvement, with the goal of "maximizing" one's attractiveness or appeal.

  2. (loosely, ironic, Internet, slang) Same as above, but for a wide range of general effects unrelated to romance, often used tongue-in-cheek.
